A&M Consolidated swimming and diving teams sweep Bryan in dual meet

The A&M Consolidated boys swimming and diving team beat Bryan 183-115, while the Consol girls won 216-92 on Tuesday at the Bryan Aquatic Center.

Consol’s winners on the boys side included Stone Ahrendt (200-yard freestyle, 2:07.16), Calvin Lindberg (200 individual medley, 2:12.41), Andrew Larsen (50 freestyle, 23.76; 100 freestyle, 53.36), Carston Johnson (500 freestyle, 5:09.35) and Michael Yang (100 breaststroke, 1:05.80). The Tigers also won the 200 medley relay with Chris Holder, Lindberg, Ahrendt and Larsen finishing in 1:53.30. They won the 200 freestyle relay in 1:44.01 (Chris Novosad, Johnson, Kevin Lynch, Yang), and they won the 400 freestyle relay in 3:39.27 (Larsen, Lindberg, Novosad, Ahrendt).

The Lady Tigers’ winners included Sydney Criscitiello (200 freestyle, 2:06.83; 100 breaststroke, 1:14.26), Brett Hyman (200 IM, 2:25.75), Kaitlyn Owens (50 freestyle, 25.13; 100 backstroke, 59.23), Hailey Buenemann (100 butterfly, 1:07.25), Susie Smith (100 freestyle, 1:01.94) and Zody Bennett (500 freestyle, 5:20.16). Consol’s girls also won the 200 medley relay with Owens, Criscitiello, Sara Shankar and Smith finishing in 1:58.07. They won the 200 freestyle relay in 1:50.64 (Buenemann, Ally Duan, Hyman, Claire Riley), and they won the 400 freestyle relay in 4:03.38 (Smith, Criscitiello, Duan, Owens).

Bryan’s Noah Martin won the 1-meter diving event on the boys side, while teammates Hayden Moreno won the 100-yard butterfly and Ayden Ayers won the 100 backstroke.
